The Swedish industrial group KB Components has entered an agreement with CTPark to construct a 16.000 m2 new production site in Zilina, Slovakia in order to expand its central European operations. The site will be located next to the KIA Automotive plant in Zilina and will serve both Medical, Lighting, Industrial and Automotive customers with injection moulding of plastic components, extrusion of profiles, clean room production and assembly operations.

– The investment in Zilina is part of the restructuring of our European production, where closeness to our customers is of vital importance. By constructing a brand-new site, we will introduce the same production philosophy as in our other production units, with a high degree of automation and continuous monitoring to ensure outstanding quality and operational excellence, says Lars Holtskog, Vice President at KB Components.

Following the expansion, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2021, KB Components will operate from seven facilities located in Gislaved and Örkelljunga in Sweden, Kaunas in Lithuania, Zilina in Slovakia, Wuxi in China, Puebla in Mexico and Windsor in Canada.

CBRE Slovakia have been used as advisors during site selection and commercial negotiations, securing a long term, sustainable real estate solution.
