KB Components have always been in the forefront of new technology and is now fine-tuning its investments in automatization and digitization, raising customer value through improved manufacturing efficiency, process stability and quality.

The unit in Orkelljunga, Sweden, have since many years linked all machines to an electronic control system. This enables communication between all connected machines as well as real-time evaluation of the cells performance. Now, this system is also being expanded to KB Components other units in Anderstorp and Kaunas.

Improved benefits for customers and environment
At the same time, the Orkelljunga unit have introduced robotics which interact with each other in order to manage more complex assembly operations without any manual and time-consuming assistance. The automatization also improves process stability, which increases quality and reduces the environmental impact of the production.

Next process to be automatized is the production of pallets, where KB Components’ Orkelljunga unit alone produce more than 3000 thousand pallets per week.

With a vision to contribute with innovative and sustainable solutions for a greener planet, these investments are strategic initiatives in line with KB Components’ strategy based on Technological Leadership, Global Presence and Operations Excellence.
