KB Components acquires Placell AB in Gislaved, Sweden and will integrate the operations in its European Injection Molding business. As per today, after completion of the acquisition the company will be renamed to KB Components Placell AB.
Placell AB has a turnover of 12 MEuro entailing a highly automated production operation of plastic components with gross weight up to 2,5 kg. The company focus on components with high demand of inserts and two component products. The business will be a good compliment to the KB Group and will strengthen the group’s position in the Nordic region.
Pro forma, after the acquisition, the turnover of the KB Group will increase to 120 MEuro, offering production from eight sites, whereof five are located in Europe, one in Asia and two in North America. The customer portfolio includes customers within light vehicles, heavy vehicles, furniture, lighting, medical, chrome plating and other industry.
Seller is the investment company Captea Markets AB and Anecta AB assisted during the transaction.
