The Swedish industrial group KB Components acquires QFC Plastics Inc. in Arlington, Texas, USA.
KB Components acquires QFC Plastics Inc, USA and integrate the company into its North American injection molding business.
QFC Plastics has a turnover of approximately 13 million USD and has built up a manufacturing unit for the production of advanced components in a machine park up to the size of 2.200 tons and in a factory of a total of 16.000 m2. Customers are found in the areas of medical, industry and automotive. The transaction is strategically important and gives KBC a further strengthened position in the NorthAmerican market in a region where we have not so far been able to offer customers production and other services. With this acquisition, KB Components North America will have a total of 5 factories, 2 in Canada, 1 in the US and 2 in Mexico. Pro forma together, this business has a sale of 130 MUSD on a rolling 12-month basis.
KB Components Group, in addition to the above, with operations in Europe and China in a total of ten production units, forecasts annual sales of 250 M USD for the financial year 2023. Customers are found in light vehicles, heavy vehicles, medical technology, furniture, lighting and other industries.
